This is where the text goes.

You can type whatever you like here and then save the page.
 
Go to More and click on Template Settings to allow users to add files or comments or turn on the Title (which we don't normally do.)
 
To upload documents, you can simply go to https://sites.google.com/site/blackeaglerifles/announcements/archive and Add a file. (Or, alternatively, go to Manage Site -- Attachments and click on Upload at the top of the screen.  You can then check off the files and use the Move command to put them in the correct directory.) 

Then to link to that document, I follow these instructions:

  1. Navigate to the page containing the file you want to link to.
  2. Right-click or control-click on the file's link and select Copy Shortcut or Copy Link Location.
  3. Navigate to the page where you want to link to the file from and click the Edit page icon, which looks like a pencil.
  4. Highlight the text to be linked and click the Link icon in the toolbar.
  5. Select the Web address tab and enter the copied link shortcut or location in the box below Link to this URL.
  6. Click "OK."
  7. Continue editing your page or click Save to preserve your changes.
 
For photos...

1.  Create a new directory off the Photo Albums main page.  Follow the naming convention for pages AND attachments.  Make sure ".jpg" is in all lower case.
2.  Copy a photo album main page (with all the thumbnails) to that directory and re-name it.  Try and be a little careful in which one you pick - find something close in number of columns and with pictures in both portrait vs landscape mode.
3.  Copy a photo album picture #2 page (something with a Prev and Next enabled) to that directory and re-name it.
4.  Upload the pictures (first import them into PowerPoint to compress them to "printable" size (220 pixels per inch) if files are too large) and then move them to the appropriate directory.  Please note that ".jpg" must be in lower case!!!
